BREAKING: WTP USA Claims Victory on Summary Judgment Motion in Takeda Pharmaceuticals Covid Exemption Lawsuit
BOSTON, MA (April 24, 2026): A federal judge in Boston today denied Takeda Pharmaceutical’s motion for summary judgement as to all but one claim, allowing the plaintiffs to proceed to trial on their other claims. We The Patriots USA funded this lawsuit after Takeda fired the plaintiffs for refusing to comply with the company’s covid shot mandate due to their religious convictions, and Takeda refused to provide the employees with a reasonable accommodation. Trial is set to begin on May 11, 2026.
It’s been quite a week for us here at We The Patriots USA! In addition to today’s victory, in the last seven days we have:
- Argued before the Ninth Circuit in Pasadena, California in a lawsuit to restore the religious exemption to school vaccinations in California
- Argued before the Second Circuit in New York City in a lawsuit in defense of the religious liberty of a Christian daycare and preschool, which seeks to restore the religious exemption to school vaccinations in Connecticut
- Advocated for a mother in Florida whose young daughter was medically kidnapped by the state, in a hearing to defend against the state’s motion to terminate the mother’s parental rights

And we’re not done yet! We have another big legal announcement planned in the next couple of days, concerning another major lawsuit to restore religious exemptions to vaccinations for schoolchildren in yet another state. We’re not backing down, and we will continue to fight until every family has the right to refuse unwanted medical interventions, and to freely exercise their religion.
