Our fight to preserve the right to keep and bear arms in New Mexico – and all across the country – continued today as we filed our reply brief in our appeal of the decision to allow Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s tyrannical firearms ban to continue. As you may recall, we initially won a temporary restraining order against the Governor last September, after she tried to ban citizens from carrying firearms in virtually all public places in the City of Albuquerque. After she restricted the ban to public parks and playgrounds, the court allowed the ban to stand, denying our motion for a preliminary injunction. We immediately appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and today we filed our reply brief outlining the reasons why such a ban egregiously violates our precious right to keep and bear arms enshrined in the Second Amendment, per the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 ruling in New York Rifle & Pistol Ass’n v. Bruen.
But we need your help to continue this fight, and our other litigation in defense of Second Amendment rights. If you want to protect your right to protect yourself and others, please consider making a gift today. |
