We knew this would happen. When Connecticut eliminated its religious exemption to school vaccinations in 2021, we predicted that it would also become nearly impossible to have a medical exemption approved in the state. After all, this was the same playbook employed in other states where religious exemptions were previously removed, such as California and New York. Within the last two weeks, we have received a torrent of cries for help from parents all over Connecticut, who have been told that their children’s medical exemptions are invalid, and that their children will be removed from school unless they are fully vaccinated in compliance with state law.
We are working around the clock to assist these families, and we are pleased to report that we have already succeeded in securing a victory for one Connecticut mother who faced this very situation. The school district rejected her child’s medical exemption, and told her that her kindergartener would be unenrolled from the school unless she was vaccinated. Desperate for help, the mom turned to We The Patriots USA, and within a week we were able to assist her in getting her medical exemption fully approved by the school!
While we are elated that we were able to win a victory for this parent and child, there are many more that need our assistance, and some of these battles are likely to wind up in court.
