We The Patriots USA, Inc., a public interest law firm and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a motivated, experienced attorney who understands the value of our U.S. Constitution and is eager to fight to defend it. We are a fast-growing national leader in the fight to defend religious freedom, medical freedom, parental rights, free speech rights, and much more. The staff attorney will report to the Vice-President.

Primary job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Litigating a wide variety of public interest matters (including but not limited to discrimination claims and Constitutional rights actions), up to and including trial and appeals;
  • Drafting legal documents including but not limited to client agreements, demand letters, pleadings, written discovery requests and responses to the same, and administrative agency filings and responses;
  • Conducting and defending depositions;
  • Advising clients on a wide variety of matters, including but not limited to legal rights, litigation strategy, and risks/potential outcomes of litigation;
  • Conducting legal research;
  • Interviewing prospective clients, clients, and witnesses (including expert witnesses);
  • Representing clients before administrative tribunals, and in court;
  • Working with co-counsel and networking with attorneys across the country;
  • Speaking at press conferences and public speaking engagements, and participating in interviews with local and national media outlets (print, audio, and video);
  • Traveling for court appearances and administrative hearings, as well as for public relations and networking events;
  • Attending training sessions and conferences;
  • Related duties as assigned.

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school;
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience, preferably in civil litigation with a concentration in civil/human rights matters and/or Constitutional law;
  • Be a member in good standing of at least one state bar within the United States (CA or NY licensure preferred, but not required), and be willing and able to be admitted to federal courts as necessary;
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines;
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Westlaw/LexisNexis;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated professionalism and strict adherence to the ethical standards of the legal profession;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as a team.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $75,000 – $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits include 4 weeks of paid vacation per year.
  • Malpractice insurance included.
  • Medical and dental benefits not available at this time.

Successful candidate will be required to provide three references and submit to a background check.
